A Jager Skate

With Christmas fast approaching, finding festive activities is something I feel we’re all trying to do to get in the mood! I was pretty excited to be invited down to Skate at Somerset House by Jägermeister to have a festive ice skating session, boogie and of course try out some of the delicious Jägermeister cocktails.

I took my friend Kat and we started our night by walking along the strand to take in the sights and arrived at the gorgeous Somerset house. After looking around Skate and the 40ft Fortnum and Mason Christmas Tree, we handed in our bags, swapped our winter boots for ice skates and we were on our way.

What’s exciting particularly about Skate is there is a different music act each night as essentially its a club night on ice. We got to enjoy the disco/ jungle vibes from Cadillac, but on previous nights they have had Green Man Festival, Rough Trade, Soho Radio and Ministry of sound to name a few.

After whizzing around the rink for an hour, we headed to the bar to try some Jägermeister based drinks from the menu. Now I’ll be honest, I’ve only ever tried Jager as a shot, I think most people have too. However, trying it differently has really opened my eyes to the drink versatilely! My favourite was the Mulled Jägermeister wine!

We had a really great night, everyone was in the party spirit, with the bar offering out a great range to suit all and the tunes from Cadillac getting everyone groovin’ , it was hard not to get a boogie on. It really kicked off my count down to Christmas and I will most definitely be doing it again next year. I will also be trying out some more Jägermeister drinks to experiment with after being inspired.

This looks amazing!!! I’m new to blogging (almost a year, so not entirely new I guess?), and was wondering what I have to do to get more recognised? I only have two popular posts out of around 25, and would like to grow more as a blogger :)

    Love you! x

This looks like such great fun but I can’t help to just think of drunken people attempting to ice skate haha. Looks like such a cool place to go though, and they definitely need to put up more permanent ice rinks. Especially around my area as I love it and miss being able to go other than Christmas time, April
